Nice tag, how many points did you have? Been trying for N. Washoe archery tags for 5 years with no bites.

Hey MM/Keystone/the 6 million post man,

I don't have a ton of info but I have been chukar hunting the Selenite Range the last three years and have spotted a few now and then. I've seen most antelope along the base of the east side of the range, tucked into the various nooks and crannies of the terrain. I have even seen some along the west side of the range between the mountains and highway.

Though I haven't been looking for them, the goats seem to be fairly sparse. Two seasons ago I saw quite a few but this last year I saw almost none. But again, I wasn't looking for them and was concentrating on birds. And also, I've only been driving through a very small section of your unit and have no idea whether there are better spots within the unit.

I don't know how helpful that is, but it's the best I got for ya.

    Good luck!!!

Hey MM, I hunted deer in those units, but it's been about 10 yrs ago. I can tell you the little bit I know about them if you PM me. I'll have to dig out my maps to refresh my memory on some of the names. My memories slipping I guess I'm getting old

Orrrrrr you can search google earth, call the bio, bring some Coors Banquet and a bottle of Crown, go scouting and the first rancher you meet with lots of alfalfa, hand him the drinkables, introduce yourself as Keystone the Musket Man and you will have a conversation starter to get a access to hunt private ground.

Crown is the drink of choice for the old timer ranchers in Nv.
