Good find UH. We use dry ice when we go to Galveston after redfish. We put down dry ice, newspaper, fish, newspaper in layers. When we get home our fish is froze solid!

I usually scope out dry ice sources on the way in rather than trying to find it on the way out or way home.

Don't rule out Airgas if you can't find a grocery store that has it.

I can usually get dry ice at Raleys, Ralphs, Kroger, or whatever name the chain is using in the area I hunt.

The link I listed above also covers welding supply and medical supply stores and works by zip code or town name.

I put in Libby, MT, a very small town not close to anywhere, and came up with 5 places to buy dry ice, all grocery stores.
