As someone who has just started on points and western hunting in general. I looked at it and feel like it is still amazing deal. You pay for the tags yes, but you draw something well worth it. When you look at the "cost" of actually going on the hunts, would those tag fees really be that big of a chunk? Spendy? Yes, but you are still going to drop a ton of money on gear, travel, lodging, taxidermy .

I don't know about "bogus' but this will probably be a long odds tag draw for sure. The Super tag drawing is only for one tag per specie and then three tags for the Super Trifecta. So the Game and Fish is only going to give out 13 tags total. I hope they report the draw odds after the drawing is complete as I will be very interested in knowing exactly how little chance I had.

You could give some of the folks on here a pot of gold and they'd still pizz & moan about the color of the pot...

That pot of gold will most certainly go to the the person with the deepest pockets because it is they who can buy the most chances. Yes this setup does suck when you compare it to most other states. Sorry but I thought id pizz n moan a litl!

That's why I passed up this "opportunity". As far as I'm concerned, might as well be a Governors Tag auction!

I hope every winner only bought one ticket! IMHO these type of raffles should be one ticket per person and the winner should not be able to transfer it to anyone else. That's the only way to get wealth out of the equation.

I agree 100%! I would have purchased if that were the case. I like how texas sells big time hunt chances for 10 dollars and one entry. They also wave fees of any type...resident or non resident.

The only thing i really dislike is that you don't find out until end of july could you imagine planning for the three biggest hunts of your life with around 2 months to do so. But like others said its about the money to them and with the tag cuts last few years there wanting as much as possible.
