About 2 months ago I went out to a couple of the PD towns I usually shoot and the best one was gone! Not a dog to be seen. Been back a couple of times and still the same. I called the farmer who gives me permission to shoot and he said the plague got um! He was happy, but not me. Guess I'll have to do some more looking.

I loooooove shooting prarie dogsMy only problem is, I can smoke one at 275 yards.. I grew up shooting them.. but I miss deer at 100... lol Guess its all in the nerves!
Yeah I know what you mean, I killed one at 469 this trip and missed one at 40. I was racing my dad to him and well, I squeezed off the first shot but premature.
In my area I love to chase them with archery equipment. Great practice for judging distance and focusing on shot routine. If you can stick one at 40-50-60 yards then you are doing pretty well!
We don;t have them in our area, but shooting hogs across open pastures year-round is about as close an alternative as we've got.
