How does one go about buying a wyoming left over lope tag? Is there a place I can check to see what units have left over tags?

Check their website. Usually the units that have left over tags are largely private land and have tought access and trespass fees.

Colorado Cowboy is right though, most of the left over tags are areas that are mainly private land. But if you find the right rancher, they dont care.. They would prefer to get them shot.![]()
I'm hoping to get a doe tag or two once the leftovers go on sale on July 20th.
Are there many doe tags available on public land typically? Im just trying to get my feet wet in antelope hunting so horns dont mean a thing at this point.
Where at are you thinking of hunting in Wy?
anywhere with in a few hours of Billings MT if thats at all possible.
Sheridan would be a good area. We have some walk-in areas and stuff that I have seen antelope on.
Plus, I know a lot of the ranchers around here that would love to have the antelope off their land.
Thanks for the info. Do the units around sheridan typically have left over doe tags?
yes.. as of right now, there are 776.. lol i dont think you have to worry about not getting one for around here. I may even be able to get you permission to hunt![]()
