Ok so i have been thinking alot about my next pack and was leaning towards the ox frame with a sacrafice strapped to it. anyone here done this? or have any experience with the sacrafice or ox (pack and frame)? just wanted to get some good western ideas on it!

I dont have any experience with that setup, however between 2 of my hunting partners they have 3 Badlands packs, not sure of which ones but all 3 are extremely noisy, you can hear them coming due to the squeeking of there pack with every step! They love the pack but are changing this year due to the noise. I use a Sitka 32, awesome pack, comfy, quiet, heavy duty!

i agree with the noise. i have the sacrafice. i like the setup pockets, weight, room, etc. but im sure you can find one similar with less noise.

Badlands 2200 is the best pack that Badlands has ever made.

I like the OX frame a lot but I wish they made a meat hauling frame attachment for it. I've seen some that other companies make and they are nice but Badlands has that sweet warranty. Most of their stuff is nice, some over designed in my mind. I don't need 20 specialized pockets when 4 will do.

Badlands are too noisy! Mystery Ranch...Crewcab! You will never need another pack.

Just picked up the MR crewcab. Hiked with it today. It is the best fitting pack I have ever owned. My body type doesn't fit the typical packs that are out there. The MR fits like a dream! My advice on a pack would be to try as many as possible. Find the one that fits you and your functions and go with it. Good luck!

I've had the Badlands 2200 for the last three seasons now. I helped pack out 2 sets of elk in it last year, and it held up very well considering I put well over 80# in it at a time. It's a pretty nice pack, and like was said the warranty is good for peace of mind. I also own a Kelty RedCloud pack for backpacking, and the Kelty is far more comfortable. And allegedly the mesh back on the Badlands is supposed to help keep me from sweating, and to say the least . . . it doesn't. If it was more comfortable I would rave about the Badlands, but as it is I think my next pack will be an Eberlestock.
