We just returned home from Northern Saskatchewan in pursuit of fall black bears. After hunting hard for 5 days I was able to connect on this nice coal black bear with my bow. My cameraman Nate Simmons captured the entire hunt as it unfolded with the digital video camera. The hunt was a great time with wall tents, bush planes, small boats and big lakes…another true northern adventure put into the books for a future episode of Eastmans’ Hunting Journal TV on the Outdoor Channel.

I am waiting out a storm right now in my office before we head into the backcountry of Western Wyoming after high country mule deer. We have been hit hard with an early season storm and the high country is looking mighty white right now. According to the weather report, next week is supposed to be gorgeous with blue skies and cool temps, the perfect recipe for early season deer hunting.
