Reader response to feedback section Issue 96

Dec 06 2006

Dear Eastman Family,
My college roommate and I recently read an article in your feedback
section from a subscriber unhappy with your marketing “genius” that provided
your organization with the “No fences here” slogan. Basically, there is no
argument. High fence hunting is NOT hunting. This subscriber was upset
about your family “alienating” these high fence “hunters” from the overall
hunting family across the world. Across the generations, your family has
provided all of us with the embedded traditions and fairness towards the
animals that hunting should entail. This is the “big picture” of hunting,
and to this angry subscriber, i say it is YOU who has missed the big issue.

Expanded MRS

Dec 05 2006

Hot Topics - Mike EastmanWe have reworked and expanded the MRS (Members Research Supplement) section to give you the reader even more valuable hunting information. We’ve researched areas that potentially produce opportunities for quality trophy big game. In fact, I will be giving you picks that I personally believe are solid areas.

The first three issues of the year the MRS section will be packed with information on where and how to draw tags out West. In the last three magazines of the year the MRS section will focus on how to find and hunt a particular trophy. Rest assured that the information you receive from us will be unbiased and without conflict of interest. We here at Eastmans’ don’t take any kickbacks or under the table payments from outfitters or landowners. Check it out, it’s only for you the subscribers.
