Building the Ideal Broadhead Arrow

Within the last few years “field point accuracy” seems to be slapped on every pack of broadheads on the shelf. Though most manufacturers have definitely taken a giant leap since the broadheads of yesteryear, the term field point accuracy has become a loosely used statement. With today’s technology, manufacturers are able to hold tighter tolerances while constructing their broadheads. The newer more compact broadheads have way less wind plane issues than older broadheads. The metal used in today’s heads holds tighter tolerances giving consumer’s a much more consistent pack of heads. Though technology has come a long way with broadheads, most manufacturers fail to note that there are a few steps to take before attaining advertised “field point accuracy.”
