I first heard about Fathers in the Field while I was a high school teacher scratching my head about ways to help the young men in my classroom with life outside the school’s doors. One of the local churches in my community was delving into the program and to me it sounded like just what so many of the young men I knew needed in their lives. Josh Lynch spearheads the program in Thermopolis, Wyoming and talking with him, the enormous impact the program has on the lives of young men quickly became apparent. I cannot think of a more worthwhile endeavor to pursue than giving back to our communities in such a way, making a positive impact on the future of our sport and more importantly lives by mentoring fatherless young men.
