With hot temperatures, very little elk movement, and no sign of the rut in sight, Brock and I both agreed that with the 23-day season it would be best for me to go home for a few days and come back later in the hunt, hoping the rut would start to heat up.

After six days back home, I couldn’t get elk off my mind and was chomping at the bit to get back to hunting in Nevada. A quick call to Brock made it worse and a few short hours later, I was back on the road headed south to Nevada.
