Everyone’s Drawing strategy is specific to the individual and what’s important to you. You have to decide what species you are drawn to and what type of terrain you like to hunt. You have to think how much time you have during that season and how you will travel to and from. Then look at the success rates and figure out how much of a gambler you are. Will you drive across the country for a mediocre tag at the chance you may get a good one. Are you willing to wait multiple years to know you have drawn a good tag and then travel there? Also, someone has to draw those premium tags, how many hail mary’s do you want to throw. I will walk you through my drawing strategy and my thoughts and theories on western hunts. Hopefully this will help you come up with your own drawing strategy.
