One year after the horrendous winter of 2017 we finally have a better idea of what to expect for the upcoming hunting season. The winter loss on the mule deer herd was as bad as expected, that’s the bad news. The good news is the antelope seemed to have fared much better. The deer herd is down at least 30% and probably more in Western and Southern Wyoming, while the antelope herds experienced a barely above average winter loss in most areas.
