Issue 172 - MRS: Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming

The great state of Nevada has gotten plenty of water according to SNOTEL. That comes on the heels of last year’s extreme drought in many areas and you have the prospect of a very good year for just about every species. The one exception might be pronghorn which do much of their early growth in the winter, unlike deer and elk who do most of their growth during the green months of the year. If you have a boatload of points for Nevada this is a very good thing if elk and mule deer might be on your list. Forage will likely be better this year and that means more nutrients for growing solid antlers.
