With the never-ending goal of packing the lightest kit possible, the search for lighter yet indestructible shelters for backpack hunting is always on the docket. For years I have toyed with the idea of using tipi shelters due to their rain, snow and wind resistance but have been apprehensive to do so because of their price tag and also the fact that most don’t have floors in them. The fact that they are single-walled shelters also initially turned me off.
