Arizona has been and continues to be one of the top destinations for the potential harvesting of a world-class animal. I don’t suspect that will change anytime soon, either.
The past couple of years have seen bumper crops of older age class animals and the hunting this past season was about middle-of-the-road to slightly above average by Arizona standards. There have been some solid elk and pronghorn taken this year, and big mule deer bucks on the Strip are perennial favorites. But, in this issue we are focusing on elk and pronghorn.
